Flood Cleanup at the Children’s Cottage Society
Shaw GO also reported on Jason’s initiative at The Children’s Cottage Society Crisis Nursery. We rolled into Bridgeland and establish a hub for the community to gather and receive food and supplies.
Flood Remediation in High River
In 2013, the entire town of High River was devastated by flooding. Evacuees were forced from their homes and many are still unable to return. Using credentials obtained from the Township of High River for safety code inspections, Jason was able to gain access to the affected communities. Jason issued the call in Calgary for volunteers to join him in the recovery effort and then orchestrated three weekend convoys.
In 2007 and 2008, the owner of JH Innovations, Jason Harbour has gone to Barrio Maria Auxiliadora in La Vega, Dominican Republic to participated in the planning, project management and construction electrical service for the T.E.A.R.S. leadership center. JH Innovations also donated tools for this project.
Habitat for Humanity
JH Innovations Inc. employees volunteer on weekends to do framing of muliti-family housing in N.E. Calgary for Habitat for Humanity.
In 2005 and 2006, the owner of JH Innovations, Jason Harbour travelled to Tijuana, Mexico as a volunteer with Amor Ministries to lead a team of students to build a 11×22 house for poverty stricken families. JH Innovations Inc. donated the company’s truck and trailer for transporting the students and volunteers’ luggage and personal gear, donations and other materials and was also used as the pantry during the project.
